1978??? Sorry, but they did'nt play here until November 29th 1979, and wouldja believe that they played the Whisky opening for the Plimsouls....reason I'm 100% positive about the day is due to the fact I WAS THERE!! That was the night Thommo showed me his fabulous foaming beer trick at the upstairs bar..needless to say it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship! It was a sort of one-off show...think I remember Tony Duffield, their road manager telling me that they just wanted to see how well they went over with an American audience. Oh, nearly forgot...the Alleycats played that same night...helluva show!
